Mod. YAW PITOT V3 – Nuovo Sensore Pitot

Novità per il 2019, il sensore Texense YAW Pitot V3. Un sensore di Pitot ad altissima precisione che fornisce  pressione assoluta statica, temperatura dell’aria e misure dell’angolo YAW, progettato  in un unico alloggiamento compatto, leggero ed estremamente robusto con connettore Deutsch. Può essere connesso direttamente a qualsiasi sistema CAN generico. Sono disponibili su richiesta altezze/angoli del tubo variabili , per adattarsi alle varie installazione in auto. Il sensore YAW Pitot V3 sta guadagnando popolarità in serie come GT, LMP e Formula 1.

Caratteristiche principali:

  • Alta accuratezza ±1% FS
  • Temperatura aria +5 ÷ +85 °C
  • Pressione statica 600 ÷ 1200 mbar
  • Angolo YAW -40° ÷ +40°
  • Altezze/angoli del tubo variabili
  • Output CAN configurabile

Come per tutti i sensori Texense, la compensazione della temperatura e la precisione sono di altissimo livello, rendendoli la scelta numero uno per la misurazione del carico aerodinamico.

Il nuovo sensore YAW Pitot V3, sostituisce i modelli V1 e V2 YAW Pitot per cui è stato annunciato l’ EOL.

NOVATEL – Avviso fine del servizio TerraStar-C per prodotti OEM7 NOVATEL

End of TerraStar-C Service for OEM7 Products

NovAtel recently introduced the TerraStar-C Pro service for our latest generation OEM7 and Smart7 family of products. This service delivers 50% faster convergence time and offers other benefits in combination with the new hardware including improved accuracy and multiple L-band tracking for higher availability of service.

To ensure optimal positioning performance on the new OEM7 and Smart7 products, NovAtel will no longer offer the legacy TerraStar-C service on OEM7 products.

Starting July 1, 2019customers with OEM7 products will no longer be able to purchase TerraStar-C subscriptions.

OEM7 receivers with active TerraStar-C subscriptions will continue to operate in TerraStar-C mode and customers can wait to purchase TerraStar-C Pro until time of renewal. Customers
with active TerraStar-C subscriptions on OEM7 products can also contact NovAtel Support at any time for a free upgrade to TerraStar-C Pro.

The table below lists the most common legacy TerraStar-C parts and the replacement TerraStar-C Pro part. Note that 1-month and 6-month parts will not be offered for TerraStar-C Pro.

There is one exception to the above TerraStar-C end of service for government part numbers. All TSC-GL-GV part numbers will still be orderable on OEM7 products.

NOVATEL – Rilascio nuovo firmware versione 7.07.00 con modifiche ai comandi per tecnologia SPAN NOVATEL

SPAN Changes Scheduled for 7.07.00 Release

Background:
NovAtel’s SPAN (Synchronized Position Attitude Navigation) technology is widely known and used in applications requiring greater functionality and reliability, those that benefit from the seamless integration of GNSS and inertial data. With continuous development, especially coupling with the next generation OEM7 receiver; a list of improvements has been identified to better serve customers’ needs and simplify the interface communications. These changes will be rolling out in the upcoming future releases. Please plan accordingly.

Issue Summary:

DMI Interface Enhancement:
The DMI interface is simplified, allowing for simpler functional support and expansion in future releases for the use of multiple DMI’s. It also provides customers with the capability of starting the interface prior to the functionality being operational. Future multiple DMI support allows customers with more than one DMI sensor to benefit from the additional information. Velocity type input streamlines the passing of information to a NovAtel product for customers who have DMIs that produce velocity. Furthermore, this simplifies setting up a DMI sensor by removing the necessity to pass ticks/revolution and wheel circumference during a setup.

The result of these changes is that several logs/commands will be removed without deprecation. A maintenance version of Inertial Explorer will be released in tandem with 7.07.xx to support the changes proposed. Note that the WHEELSIZE log is no longer available, so customers will not be able to get the current estimated wheel circumference.

* The WHEELVELOCITY command will still be accepted in a limited capacity. WHEELVELOCITY’s cumulative tick field will be mapped to a RAWDMI command for backwards compatibility.

Additional CORRIMUS log / Deprecation of CORRIMUDATA(S):

The current CORRIMUDATA(S) logs will be replaced with the new CORRIMUS log. The CORRIMUS log is essentially the same log as the CORRIMUDATA(S) with an additional field added to output an IMUDataCount which counts the number of samples used in each log output. An example of the new log CORRIMUS is shown below. The CORRIMUDATA(S) log will remain working for those that choose to use it but will be removed from the official documentation.

The following key benefits are now available in the 7.06.01 release:

• TerraStar positioning now incorporates compensation of region-specific tectonic movements to ensure the positioning stays relevant, consistent and repeatable year-over-year

• Improved accuracy on select SMART7 variants using new Terrain Compensation functionality that corrects for roll and pitch of a vehicle when operating on uneven ground or slopes
